Beta Header Dyno Results

Beta 350 Race Edition Dyno Testing

We dyno tested the 22 fabrications header designs on a 2024 Beta 350 race edition. The bike had the factory race edition mapping, an fmf 4.1 titanium muffler, 2- stroke screenless air filter cage and 93 octane pump fuel.

  • Once again, both 22 fab header designs show marked improvement above the factory system! The 350 has an amazing, linear power curve which is accentuated with our aftermarket headers.
  • “The Loop” (green lines)- the 350 really benefits in the bottom end from the loop header. A massive increase off-idle carries smoothly through the mid, and meets up top with the already amazing linear power.
  • “The Shorty” (orange lines)- as we’ve seen across the entire Beta 4- stroke lineup, the shorty is a great addition to any motor! It outpaced the loop slightly in the mid- to upper range, while still overpowering the factory header in the low-end.

Beta 390cc Dyno Testing

We tested the 22 fabrication header designs on a ’24 Beta 390rs Special Edition. The bike was run in factory condition as a baseline, and then modified using each header with supporting modifications.

  • Full mod list: 22 fabrication headers, FMF Q4 muffler (spark arrestor removed), Beta flashed “open map”, 2t screenless air filter cage, upgraded fuel pressure regulator (not necessary).
  • Both versions show significant gains over factory. Up to 10% in large portions of the curve!
  • “Loop” (yellow lines):large and immediate gains in the low-end that carry strongly in the mid range and continue to redline.
  • “Shorty” (purple lines): again,  large gains immediately compared to factory. While giving a very slight edge to the loop from 5k-6k rpm, the shorty is a true powerhouse. It truly enhances the power delivery in every aspect.

Beta 430cc Race Edition Dyno Testing

We dyno tested a 2021 Beta 430 race edition using the 22 fabrications header designs. Our 430 test bike was a strong runner, but has a lot of miles on it! We didn’t suspect any motor issues, but want to be up front with the results. The 430 had the Beta open map, an fmf 4.1 muffler, and 2 stroke screenless air filter cage.

  • “The Loop” (orange lines)- the 430 is the first of the beta 4 strokes that didn’t act as suspected. The loop header showed some robust gains in the mid- range, but didn’t have the typical low- end jump of the other motors. Unless you really love the look of the loop, I honestly recommend the shorty on your 430.
  • “The Shorty” (green lines) – on the 430, our shorty is the way to go! With some small gains in the bottom tapering to absolutely massive ones all through the mid- range, it’s the clear choice!

Beta 500cc Dyno Testing

We tested the 22 Fabrications header designs on a ’23 Beta 500 RRS. The initial test run was not in factory condition. Instead, the baseline was done with the beta “open map”, FMF Q4 muffler, and 2t screenless air cage. The headers were then added for comparison.

  • Both versions show significant gains above the factory header. Nearly 2hp in much of the power curve.
  • “Loop” (red lines): we saw very strong increases in power and torque immediately off- idle, and gains continue to grow through the mid and upper rpm range.
  • “Shorty” (green lines): In similar fashion to the 390, the loop keeps a slight advantage in the low end, but the shorty provides a never ending power supply all the way to the rev limiter.
